Ambo

A stereodescriptor prefix used when a compound has two or more stereogenic elements and consists of both racemic diastereoisomers, mixed in an unspecified ratio. It precedes the name of the part whose centre is undefined, as in L-alanyl-ambo-leucine, the dipeptide from L-alanine and racemic leucine.
