Diastereoisomerism
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003136
A type of stereoisomerism where molecules are stereoisomers of each other but are not mirror images. Diastereoisomers have at least two stereocenters and differ in the configuration at one or more, but not all, of these centers. They possess different physical and chemical properties, such as melting points and solubilities.
