Superposability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011606
The property of two or more three-dimensional objects, such as molecules or their models, that allows them to be placed exactly on top of one another so that all their parts coincide. This concept is central to understanding stereoisomerism, particularly enantiomerism, where non-superposable mirror images exist. Molecules that are superposable are identical.
