Enantiomer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003861
One of a pair of stereoisomers that are non-superimposable mirror images of each other. Enantiomers possess identical physical properties, such as melting point and boiling point, except for their interaction with plane-polarized light, rotating it in opposite directions. They also exhibit different biological activities due to their three-dimensional structures.
