Enantiomerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003869
The interconversion of one enantiomer of a chiral chemical compound into the other. This process results in the formation of the opposite enantiomer, and if it proceeds to completion, it leads to a racemic mixture. The rate of enantiomerization is measured by the rate constant for the interconversion, and the process is a specific type of racemization.
