Enantiomeric excess
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003862
A measure of the purity of a chiral substance, indicating the excess of one enantiomer over the other in a mixture. It is calculated as the absolute difference between the mole fractions of the two enantiomers, expressed as a percentage. A value of 100% indicates a pure enantiomer.
