Diastereoisomer excess

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003134

A measure of the purity of a substance containing two diastereoisomers, expressed as the absolute difference between the mole fractions of the two diastereoisomers. This value indicates the extent to which one diastereoisomer predominates over the other in a mixture. It is calculated as the absolute difference between the mole fractions of the major and minor diastereoisomers.
