Surface excess concentration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011641
The amount of a specific component present at an interface, beyond what would be expected if the bulk concentrations extended uniformly to a chosen dividing surface. This value indicates the accumulation or depletion of a substance at the boundary between two phases. It is typically expressed in units of moles per unit area.
