Surface excess enthalpy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011644
The enthalpy associated with the formation of an interface, representing the difference in enthalpy between the actual system with an interface and a hypothetical system without an interface. This quantity accounts for the energy and pressure-volume work changes at the surface. It is measured in joules per unit area.
