Bond-dissociation enthalpy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001422

The standard enthalpy change associated with the homolytic cleavage of a specific bond in a gaseous molecule. This value quantifies the energy required to break a particular bond under standard conditions. It is a more accurate measure of bond strength than average bond energy for a specific bond.
