Bond enthalpy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001416
The average energy required to break one mole of a specific type of bond in a gaseous molecule. This value is an average over many different molecules containing that bond, as the exact energy can vary with the molecular environment. It is typically expressed in kilojoules per mole (kJ/mol).
