Enthalpy of polymerisation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003957
The change in enthalpy that occurs when a monomer undergoes polymerization to form a polymer. This value reflects the heat absorbed or released during the formation of new chemical bonds and the breaking of existing ones in the monomer units. It is typically expressed in joules per mole (J/mol) or kilojoules per mole (kJ/mol).
