Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011371

A symbol or set of symbols used to specify the absolute or relative configuration of a stereogenic element within a molecule. These descriptors provide a concise way to communicate the three-dimensional structure of stereoisomers. Common examples include R/S for chiral centers and E/Z for double bond configurations.
