Diisotactic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003208
A polymer in which each monomeric unit contains two chiral centers, and the configuration of both centers is the same relative to the adjacent units along the polymer chain. This specific arrangement results in a highly ordered stereoregular structure. The configuration of the chiral centers can be either erythro-diisotactic or threo-diisotactic, depending on their relative orientation.
