R diad
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009790
A sequence of two adjacent monomer units in a polymer chain where the substituents on the main chain carbons have a racemic (r) configuration relative to each other. This indicates that the two chiral centers have opposite absolute configurations. The proportion of r diads contributes to the overall tacticity of the polymer chain.
