Erythro structures
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004090
A stereochemical descriptor used to denote the relative configuration of two adjacent chiral centers in an open-chain molecule, where identical or similar substituents on the main chain are on the same side when viewed in a Fischer projection. This contrasts with threo structures, where these substituents are on opposite sides. The terms are derived from the configurations of erythrose and threose.
