Erythro, threo
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004091
Stereochemical prefixes used to distinguish between diastereomers that have two adjacent chiral centers. The 'erythro' isomer has identical or similar substituents on the same side when drawn in a Fischer projection, while the 'threo' isomer has them on opposite sides. These terms are often applied to acyclic compounds with two chiral carbons.
