A stereochemical descriptor used as a prefix in the semisystematic name of a natural product or a related compound to indicate that the molecule is the enantiomer of the parent compound. The prefix is placed at the beginning of the name and is separated by a hyphen. For instance, if a natural product is named 'X', its non-superimposable mirror image is designated as 'ent-X'.
