Enrichment factor

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003943

A quantitative measure of the increase in concentration of a specific component in a given phase relative to its initial concentration in the original mixture. It is calculated as the ratio of the component's concentration in the enriched phase to its concentration in the starting material. This factor is dimensionless and indicates the efficiency of a separation process.
