Preconcentration coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009360

A ratio that quantifies the enrichment of an analyte during a preconcentration procedure before its final measurement. It is calculated by dividing the concentration of the analyte in the concentrated phase by its initial concentration in the original sample. This dimensionless value is a key performance metric for separation techniques, with a coefficient significantly greater than one indicating successful enrichment of the target substance.
