Selective preconcentration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010680

A process that increases the concentration of a specific analyte or group of analytes from a larger volume of sample, while simultaneously reducing the concentration of interfering components. This technique enhances the detection limits for trace substances by isolating them from the matrix. It is a common preliminary step in many analytical procedures.
