Absorbed electron coefficient
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000064
A measure of the fraction of primary electrons that are absorbed by a sample during electron probe microanalysis. This coefficient quantifies the extent to which incident electrons lose their energy within the material without being backscattered. It is a dimensionless quantity that depends on the atomic number of the sample and the energy of the primary electrons.
