Extraction factor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004290
A dimensionless quantity that represents the ratio of the amount of solute extracted into the extracting phase to the amount remaining in the original phase. This factor indicates the efficiency of a single-stage extraction process. It is directly related to the distribution ratio and the phase volume ratio.
