Extractability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004283

A qualitative property indicating how readily, or to what degree, a substance is extracted from one phase into another under given conditions. The term is imprecise and is not used as a numerical quantity, so it is not a synonym for the fraction extracted. Quantitative descriptions use the distribution ratio, the extraction factor or the fraction extracted.
