Triprismo-

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012300

A stereochemical descriptor used in coordination chemistry to indicate that ligands are located at the vertices of a trigonal prism. This geometry is one of the possible arrangements for a six-coordinate complex. The descriptor is added as a prefix to the name of the central atom's polyhedron, for example, in describing the arrangement of donor atoms around a metal center.
