Semisystematic name

A chemical name that combines elements of systematic nomenclature with trivial or common names, often retaining a portion of a traditional name while adding systematic prefixes or suffixes. This type of name provides some structural information while being more concise than a fully systematic name. An example is 'toluene', which is a semisystematic name for methylbenzene.
