Ambisexual
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000476
Describing hermaphroditism, or sexual characteristics that are common to both sexes. Pubic hair is the standard example of an ambisexual characteristic, since it develops in males and females alike at puberty. A true hermaphrodite, by contrast, has both ovarian and testicular tissue in the same individual, while an ambisexual trait is simply one that is not specific to either sex.
