Hermaphrodite

An individual possessing both male and female gonadal tissue, meaning both ovarian and testicular structures are present. These tissues can exist as separate organs or be combined into a single structure called an ovotestis. The term is used in developmental toxicology to describe certain abnormalities that can result from exposure to specific substances during gestation.
