Aphonia

The complete loss of voice, resulting in an inability to produce vocal sounds. This condition can stem from physical damage or disease affecting the larynx or vocal cords, or from neurological disorders impacting the nerves that control these structures. Aphonia differs from dysphonia, which is a partial impairment of the voice.
