Predictive risk assessment

The process of estimating the potential for adverse effects of a substance or activity on human health or the environment before actual exposure or implementation. This assessment relies on models, extrapolations, and existing data to forecast future risks. It is a proactive approach used in regulatory decision-making for new chemicals or technologies.
