Remedial investigation and feasibility study

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013495

A two-part process used to evaluate contaminated sites, particularly under regulatory frameworks like the U.S. Superfund program. The remedial investigation gathers data to characterize site conditions, determine the nature and extent of contamination, and assess risks. The feasibility study then uses this information to develop, screen, and evaluate potential cleanup alternatives for the site.
