A display resolution standard characterized by a horizontal pixel count of approximately 4,000 pixels. The most common 4K resolution for televisions and consumer monitors is 3840 x 2160 pixels, also known as Ultra High Definition (UHD). Digital cinema 4K, defined by the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), has a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels.
