Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer, a network device located at a telephone company's central office that connects multiple Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) interfaces to a high-speed digital backbone network. It aggregates data traffic from many individual DSL subscribers onto a single, high-capacity line. The DSLAM separates voice traffic from data traffic, routing the latter to an internet service provider.
