The use of mechanisms or technologies to manage network traffic and control its performance, known as Quality of Service (QoS). It works by prioritizing specific types of data packets over others to manage available network bandwidth effectively. For example, real-time traffic like video conferencing or Voice over IP (VoIP) is given higher priority than less delay-sensitive traffic like email or file transfers.
