Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000524
A problem-solving approach that employs a practical method not guaranteed to be optimal or perfect, but sufficient for reaching an immediate, short-term goal. This technique finds an approximate solution within a reasonable timeframe, especially when exact methods are too slow or computationally expensive. Heuristics are often used in artificial intelligence for tasks like search algorithms or decision-making processes.
