A Personal Area Network (PAN) connects items like laptops, smartphones, keyboards, and headsets over a short distance. Wired PANs use technologies like USB, while wireless PANs (WPANs) use protocols such as Bluetooth or Zigbee, which operate within a range of approximately 10 meters.
