Progressive scan

A method of displaying or transmitting moving images where every line for each frame is rendered sequentially from top to bottom. This technique draws a complete picture in a single pass, avoiding the motion artifacts associated with interlaced video. Progressive scan formats are identified by the number of horizontal lines followed by the letter 'p', such as 720p or 1080p.
