Anti-aliasing
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000048
A technique used in computer graphics to smooth out jagged edges or stair-stepping artifacts that appear when rendering diagonal lines or curves on a pixel-based display. It works by blending the colors of pixels along the boundaries of shapes, creating a more continuous visual appearance. This process often involves sampling the image at a higher resolution and then downscaling it.
