Remote access

The ability to connect to and control a computer or network from a different geographical location. This is achieved using software and network connections that allow a user on a local device to see the desktop and use the resources of a distant system. Protocols used for this purpose include the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and Secure Shell (SSH).
