Remote access

The ability to connect to and control a computer, network, or industrial control system from a geographically separate location. This is achieved using network connections like the internet and specialized software that transmits screen data and input commands between the local and remote machines. Common protocols for remote access include the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Virtual Network Computing (VNC), and Secure Shell (SSH) for command-line interface access.
