Impaired catchment

1. The Impaired Catchment layer includes catchment assessment units that are too polluted or otherwise degraded to meet the water quality standards set by states, territories, or authorized tribes. These water bodies are on the CWA 303(d) list and are required to develop a total maximum daily load (TMDL). This set of water areas are provided by the Assessment, Total Maximum Daily Load Tracking and Implementation System (ATTAINS).
