Impaired Water Points

1. The Impaired Water Points layer includes points that are too polluted or otherwise degraded to meet the water quality standards set by states, territories, or authorized tribes. These water points are on the CWA 303(d) list and are required to develop a total maximum daily load (TMDL). This set of water points are provided by the Assessment, Total Maximum Daily Load Tracking and Implementation System (ATTAINS).
