Impaired Stream

"Definition 1: The Impaired Streams layer includes streams that are too polluted or otherwise degraded to meet the water quality standards set by states, territories, or authorized tribes. These streams are on the CWA 303(d) list and are required to develop a total maximum daily load (TMDL). These stream segments are provided by the Assessment, Total Maximum Daily Load Tracking and Implementation System (ATTAINS).
