1. The amount of a type of pollution that the Bay and its tributaries receive.

2. The total amount of pollutants entering a waterbody from one or multiple sources, measured as a rate, as in weight per unit time or per unit area.

3. The quantity of sediment transported by a current. It includes the suspended load of small particles and the bedload of large particles that move along the bottom.
