Abvolt

A unit of electromotive force in the CGS (centimeter-gram-second) electromagnetic system, equivalent to 10^-8 volts. This unit is part of a system that predates the modern SI (International System of Units) and is rarely used in contemporary electrical engineering. One abvolt represents the electromotive force generated in a conductor cutting one maxwell per second.
