MMF

The abbreviation for magnetomotive force, which is the force that produces magnetic flux in a magnetic circuit. It is analogous to electromotive force in an electrical circuit. MMF is measured in ampere-turns (AT) and is calculated as the product of the current flowing through a coil and the number of turns in that coil.
