The symbol for the tesla, the SI (International System of Units) derived unit of magnetic flux density, also known as magnetic B-field strength. One tesla is defined as one weber of magnetic flux per square meter. In industrial applications, magnetic field strength is measured with a magnetometer or teslameter, with values for permanent magnets ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 T.
