Magnetic circuit

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003489

A closed path for magnetic flux, analogous to an electrical circuit for electric current. It typically consists of ferromagnetic materials with high permeability, such as iron cores in transformers or inductors. The performance of a magnetic circuit is characterized by its reluctance, which opposes the establishment of magnetic flux.
