  "term": "Allocentric",
  "field": "Industrial and trades",
  "definition": "Relating to a supply chain or logistics network model designed from a collective perspective, focusing on the relationships and locations of multiple partners, suppliers, and customers. This approach contrasts with an egocentric model, which is planned from the viewpoint of a single firm's assets and objectives. An allocentric network seeks to find efficiencies and service improvements across the entire system rather than for just one participant.",
