Angle brace

A diagonal structural member installed to reinforce a frame and resist lateral forces, preventing racking or distortion. Angle braces create rigid triangles within a rectangular structure, such as a wall frame, deck, or gate, by connecting two perpendicular members. The brace is placed in compression or tension to counteract shear loads, maintaining the squareness and stability of the assembly under stress.
